Bio: pRiMo!
Born and raised in El Paso, Texas; AKA CHUCOTOWN; AKA Juarez TEX. At the age of 15--I truly found hip hop, the Gangsta shit is what I was accustomed to, which was still good but really didn’t inspire me like REAL hip-hop.
One day my moms took me to a local record store to buy a new CD. All the covers of the gangsta shit were all too graphic so she wouldn’t let me buy them. I finally came across an album cover that was very interesting and intriguing: It was a picture of a African-American woman, in the 1950's--drinking from a BLACKS ONLY water fountain during the “jim crow laws era” in the south. The artist of course is COMMON; i took a quick listen and the beats were so Dope i took it home.
I listened to that album and it inspired me to express myself through music. Being a teenager i came from a broken home; my father was a heavy drug dealer and left me and my sister when i was about 8 yrs old.
Growing as a man i had no one to teach me and I desperately needed a way to learn about life. So i listened to other peoples stories in Music. Hip hop taught me to respect all types of music; From R&B to Rock. Music is my Life!
Not only do I enjoy telling "my-story" but also of people who feel they don’t have a voice in this crazy world. My goal is to represent my people and the Mexican-American culture living on the Border: Juaritos Texas. From a true bi-cultural mind, I undoubtedly want to be the best Mexican-American emcee of all time.
